APPEARANCE
The “Living Fortress” Hoeryong is a titanturtle of great size - about the size of a small island - about 20 acres large. He often rests in the blood seas of Kurai. His scaley head and flipper limbs seem to absorb light - being completely black. The edge of his back is surrounded with obsidian crystal spires which extend outward, forming a barricade against those that would attempt to invade. Several smaller towers rise up behind the barricade of obsidian spires, each outfitted with several cannons.
Upon his back is a sparse forest of ashen-gray trees devoid of greenery surrounding a walled off spiraling tower made of dim prismatic gemsteel/darksteel alloy. This tower serves as the base of operations for [tarot card group]. Around this tower lays a labyrinth with hundreds, possibly even thousands of cells, holding a multitude of ex-prisoners turned into mutants, undead, or worse by the various experimentations of the group.

ABILITIES
Dark Titanturtle: Unlike most Titanturtles, Hoeryong is a dark-elemental, having absorbed the reiatsu from the blood waters of Kurai as well as suffering of the prisoners contained within the prison.
Star of Arcana - Emperor: Dominion - The Emperor Arcana grants nigh-unbreakable control over an army of constructs which transcends the realms. These constructs are customizable according to the Emperor’s will. In Hoeryong’s case, his ‘will’ is that of those that interact with him. Also see “Conscripted Souldiers.”
Conscripted Souldiers: Hoeryong can employ the souls that have died within the walls of the labyrinth leading up to the tower to scramble for his defenses. It is not uncommon to encounter Draugr undead of varying levels - these soldiers can also be utilized as hired help for his various masters. These numbers are maintained via the capture of invaders as well as trading in Kurai.
Breath/Reiatsu Bomb: From its mouth, Hoeryong can fire a sphere of dark reiatsu which explodes - it is powerful enough to act as an effective siege weapon, to say the least. Also great for keeping away Akkorokamuis.
Artillery: Behind the obsidian spires rise several guard towers outfitted with cannons. BOMBS AWAY.
Portal: Hoeryong himself is capable of portal magic. However, there is a big catch - his portals take 24 hours to start up, one hour to complete, and then a week of cooldown. He also acts as a very specific marker for the Stars of Arcana to portal to. It should be noted that this portal abides by normal rules - for instance, Kurai restricts portal travel greatly due to its Hellgate limitations. Should be noted that its favored hellgates are: the Everfrost, Bonemask Woods, Mahotsu-Sento, and Moonless Swamp.
Reiatsu Barrier: Must be manually activated - Hoeryong can bring up a formidable shield over the back of his shell in order to prevent intruders and siege weaponry. Defaulted to off.

WEAKNESSES
Energy Consumption: Hoeryong must rest for long periods of time after exerting large amounts of energy - and given his size, many things can consume a large amount of energy quickly. Large battles can leave Hoeryong on standby up to two months. Portaling, as mentioned, takes a week. Even swimming through oceans can drain the titanturtle.
Sluggishness: Hoeryong’s huge size makes it hard for any sort of agility or swiftness. Even the act of turning can take a multitude of minutes.
Slow-Minded: Hoeryong rarely makes decisions for himself, and often acts at the whim of Tereza and the other members of the Stars of Arcana

BACKGROUND
Hoeryong was born in Kurai millenia ago - having absorbed the dark reiatsu energies that the realm was soaked in, the titanturtle was a unique entity, becoming a corrupted, dark-elemental-infused version of his brethren.
Like many turtles of his kind, Hoeryong lay dormant for years at a time, attempting to conserve what energy he could, often close to shore - just out of the range of normal vision. During this time, the Death Kingdom built a small keep and prison which he eventually took the name of on his back to house various demon prisoners of all sorts. Feeding off of their life energies as well as their suffering and anguish, Hoeryong formed a taste for this energy. But for the most part, he was content to simply allow the atrocities to happen.
However, over time, the Death kingdom abandoned this stronghold, as well as the prisoners on it. Hoeryong became aware of this, and realized that he had formed a dependency on this energy. He needed more. If not physically, then mentally. The despair of the prisoners had become something of a drug.
It was then that the Void dragon, Tereza, found Hoeryong. She planted a card in his back - the card of Emperor. Given his inability to be flexible, but holding dominion over himself and therefore a land, it was only fitting that the strong foundation that would form the base of the Stars of Arcana. He is now rechristened according to his card’s name.
