Name: Morgiana
Species: Drow
Gender: Female
Appearance: Wearing a simple off-white gown with long, somewhat loose sleeves, befitting that of a servant girl, Morgiana carries herself humbly, choosing to only become ‘loud’ when her master is approached. Thus, her posture is often unassuming, comprised of bows and monosyllabic responses. While she is always armed, it is unclear where she keeps most of the weapons on her person.
Abilities:
Bloody Blades: Morgiana keeps a seemingly impossible amount of knives up her sleeves. In truth, these are blood reiatsu constructs that dissipate after embedding themselves within a person. This ties her weapon usage with her life force - too much and she can fall unconscious quickly. Therefore, she has to be extremely precise with this usage. At times, she will switch to using melee constructs such as arming swords and bastards swords. Additionally, it should be noted she is an accomplished user of both swords and throwing knives. She can also use her blood to empower her attacks.
Agile: As her master’s bodyguard, she rivals some lesser demon shinobi, and is able to close long distances quickly, and can intercept some projectiles and the like on his behalf, as well as maneuver around would-be assailants.
Weaknesses:
Anemic: As stated, her magic is closely tied with her life-force. Excessive usage of her blood abilities can weaken her physically and mentally, and even make her fall unconscious. She can utilize about 15 knives before starting to feel slightly light-headed, assuming she has not suffered serious blood loss from her wounds. She can push herself to about 30 before bordering on passing out. The self-enhancement magic varies, though it is best she is conservative with its usage.
Puppet: Morgiana follows her master's will. While this may involve defying orders to save his life, she will never knowingly endanger her master, nor take action that doesn't involve his orders or saving his life.
History:
Taken in by an extremely affluent family from a young age, Morgiana grew up alongside her young master as his slave - his property, in fact. If he were to be attacked, she was to throw her life away for the sake of his. If he were to die, she was to take her own life.
In spite of this, she had no animosity - she grew up in seclusion and mostly knowing her master, who sought freedom and autonomy above all else. As such, he only make cursory use of her service, to her dismay.
In spite of this, she and her master had a love-hate relationship. While he rarely made use of her services, they did everything together - often with her insisting on doing it for him and him refusing constantly.
However, their relationship took a turn - for the worse or better is up to interpretation.
The master of the house - her master’s father - brought home a werebeast, to be kept as a pet and possibly workhorse of sorts. In addition to her duties regarding her master, she was to be in charge of keeping the werebeast fed.
However, one day, while feeding the creature, Morgiana heard the cursing of her master. Rushing to his side, she had left the cage door open in her haste...and the werebeast escaped.
In less than an hour, they had found the werebeast...attacking the master, mauling him.
Morgiana was able to fend off the creature quickly, but it was too late - the master had been infected with the werebeast’s infection.
The master’s father sold him into the circus - unwilling to deal with the shame of having to explain how he had a werebeast for a son. “Saving face” he called it.
Something in her, a twitch in her body, told her where her divided loyalties were to go.
And so, Morgiana is part of a circus with her knife-throwing prowess - all to keep a close eye on her master.
