Gender: Female
APPEARANCE
Thin, all scales and bones, Heidrun is not what one would call intimidating. In spite of this, she attempts to appear as prickly as possible – her red-spined head-crest is styled in such a way to appear to be a toothed-saw (read: mohawk), and interesting tribal markings paint her scales all over – a stylized, tribal-esque mural of a whale and roc fighting on her back. Her eyes glow with a violet reiatsu flame. Her scales are pale, sand cream color – scars adorning her body all over.

ABILITIES
- Bloody Murder: When Heidrun sings her song, faces literally melt, and eyeballs pop – while this effect can be resisted, the damage this ability inflicts is tremendous. In order to do this, Heidrun channels some of her pool of reiatsu into the scream – extensive usage of this can leave her weakened and exhausted, or even blow out her vocal cords for a few days. The cone of effect attempts to paralyze the enemy by freezing up nerve endings, shorting them out with fear. In addition, the intensity can potentially cause brain damage, structural damage, or just raw sonic damage. It counts as both a physical and magical effect – if one should be resisted, the other part still takes effect. If the enemy resists, or is just outside the cone of effect (read: there is an extended cone of effect where only a secondary effect is applied), they are still cursed and suffer from auditory hallucinations involving whispers which encourage risky or self-injurious behaviors - these can also be resisted and/or defended against.
- Battle Axe/Buckler: Heidrun's preferred melee weapon is two-sided one-handed axe which she wields with surprising force and skill. She is also skilled with a buckler.
- Throwing Knives: Heidrun's preferred ranged option (other than her scream) are knives dipped in her own venom, which are hallucinogenic neurotoxins. This neurotoxin further enhances the effects of her voice.
- Flight: Heidrun can fly, but only for short distances – being undead has left her wings weak. It more aids her impressive jumping distance than acts as proper flight. This helps when you're a sky pirate.
- Terrk'nor Mindfuck: Locking eyes with Heidrun's violet flame can lull someone into unconsciousness, and lock them into a nightmare-filled comatose state which rends their mind apart. Can be resisted by strong wills or anti-magic defenses.
- “Something's Rattling Up There”: In spite of her shriekan blood, Heidrun is able to keep some composure for some time. While she has that same shriekan bloodlust, she can keep it at bay in order to get business done, and knows how to channel it appropriately.
WEAKNESSES

BACKGROUND
Heidrun was born of a manipulative tryst between her Shriekan pirate father and Siren mother. Before Heidrun was born, her father was drowned by her mother when he attacked her after snapping out of the Siren's song.
Heidrun's mother was a troublemaker, and made all sorts of enemies with both song and spell. One of these was a sarka necromancer who dwelt in Millirand, After an attempt on her life, she fled to Noctis, and settled near the city of Golbez, opening up a shop as a witch selling love potions, amulets, and curses.
At the age of 18, her mother was burned at the stake by the citizens of Golbez, after rumor-mongering that she was a spy of the Sky, given her siren wings.
Thinking the avians of Noctis might offer her refuge, they instead caught her trying to sneak in. Also thinking her a spy after having learned where she was from, she narrowly escaped by diving off the flying island. She landed on the rocks below – just barley surviving.
It was then that the Sarka necromancer came looking for her mother – instead he found young Heidrun, grown up.
Vengeance would finally be his. Or so he thought.
He grabbed her by the crests on her head, and stabbed her in the gut, before raising her as a banshee. But before he could take full control over her undead form, she screamed from the overwhelming pain, agony and loss filling her voice.
The power was as such, that the scales from the Sarka's head exploded off, as did the flesh underneath – before exploding the skull as well.
Heidrun escaped. Having no home, she turned to a vagabond's life, ending up working for a bunch of pirates.
Heidrun's apparent age is deceptive – she is centuries old due to the whole being undead bit. She often can appear cold, prickly, and hostile. However, those that get to know her know that she has a crass sense of humor and can be as loud and rambunctious as any sailor. Just don't get in a sea shanty contest with her. Her songs are killer.
She lives to be a giant thorn in the side of those that would travel the seas or skies – a reason to be afraid whenever traveling abroad. She despises Avians and Atlanteans and anything that reminds her of either race, though she'll make exceptions if she's convinced of individual trustworthiness.
