The Desert's Prayer
Djehuti
BASICS
Name: Djehuti
Gender: Male
Species: Sol’tera
Name: Djehuti
Gender: Male
Species: Sol’tera
APPEARANCE
A slender, dark-skinned, somewhat androgynous boy, Djehuti is adorned with sandy-blonde hair, often kept close-shaven underneath a concealing headscarf which covers all but the part of his face from his mouth to his eyebrows, with part of the scarf adjustable to cover his mouth and nose. His body is often clothed in thick, modestly decorated robes - just barely matching his station as a priest of the Ristellian pantheon.
Standing at a rather short 5’9” for a Sol’tera male, Djehuti is sometimes mocked for his lack of masculinity. Even his voice is on the higher end of a tenor.

ABILITIES
- Light and Fire Magic: Djehuti utilizes fire reiatsu for his offensive spells. While he is capable of the raw destructive force of fireballs and explosions, he is often more fond of using more graceful fire attacks, making the flames dance in the air and on the ground, swirling and engulfing the enemies of the sol’tera. Meanwhile, his light reiatsu is often used to enhance other sol’tera warriors as well as heal. He is also adept at using this magic to dazzle and blind enemies, as well as crafting illusions and mirages via his mastery over light and heat
- Nimble: From his time spent with Aamir, he has learned the wisdom of fleeing. As such, Djehuti is surprisingly nimble and agile, and also decent at being stealthy when necessary.
- Knowledgeable: In addition to being knowledgeable about the Sol’tera pantheon, Djehuti is knowledgeable about a wide array of subjects, including the desert ecosystem, local plantlife, basic philosophy, other religions, etc.
WEAKNESSES
- Know-it-all: While Djehuti is knowledgeable and even mature for his age, he can sometimes be slightly arrogant and assume he knows better than anyone else. This can lead him to ignore sound advice for the sake of his pride
- Physically Weak: Djehuti is not a warrior, and although he carries a dagger for self-defense, he is more or less helpless in melee combat.
BACKGROUND
Djehuti's father left his mother when they were young for another woman. His mother, a servant of the Ristellian gods, already in frail health before he left, worked herself to death soon after his departure.
The young boy grew up with Aamir, thinking of him as a figurative older brother. They both grew up in poverty as orphans, engaging in pickpocketing, particularly of the basics, such as food. In spite of this, both climbed through the ranks of Sol’tera society through their dedication and perseverance. Aamir became a Chief of a Sol’tera settlement, and Djehuti became a priest of the same settlement - both utilizing their common background and brotherhood to empower each other.
In spite of their closeness, Djehuti can be aloof, and even a bit bristly with sarcasm and biting remarks. While he is able to feign professionalism, he can be misanthropic, though not to the point where he would neglect the well-being of his flock. In spite of his cynical nature, he takes his duties seriously.
But only Aamir has seen a genuine smile from Djehuti. In many ways, Djehuti is more chained down than what he considers his glory days with Aamir - when they both lived free from the constrains of society.
