Undead Samurai Vigilante
Kamen-Ronin Benkei
"The morning sun may dawn upon us, but evilry is clearly still afoot! So the world calls for a hero of justice, who fights by daylight and flies through moonlight, blades swinging down upon the neck of the foulest of villains! I...am...GREAT KAMEN RONIN BENKEI!"
BASICS

Name: Benkei
Gender: Male
Species: Undead - Revenant Class
APPEARANCE
The revenant samurai warrior is clad in bright red and gold-laced armor War Kingdom armor, reflecting the pale moonlight off its polished surface. Looking upon his face, one will find a demonic mask of a faceplate shielding his identity - golden reiatsu glowing where his eyes would be. On his chest, one would find yet another set of masks where his pectoral muscles would be.
Around his waist are several sheathed weapons - katanas, rapiers, daggers, axes, and even a naginata and a warhammer on his back. It is a wonder how he can move with such an array of heavy weaponry.
As you look up to his figure standing atop the building, silhouetted against the pale moon, you hear a high-pitched, echoing YOOOO as he adopts a flamboyant stance, as if a dance of sorts. He leaps from the building and lands, dust rising from the impact.
“DEVILISH FIEND, PREYING UPON THE INNOCENT, I HAVE TRAVELED FROM FURTHER SHORES OF THE EAST TO THE GREAT MOUNTAINS OF THE WEST IN ORDER TO HUNT YOU DOWN! i CHALLENGE YOU TO A DUEL BETWEEN WARRIORS VIA HONORABLE MARTIAL COMBAT. WHAT SAY YOU, DEMONIC, FOUL BEAST OF A BLACKHEARTED MONSTER!? DO YOU DARE CHALLENGE GREAT KAMEN RONIN BENKEI!?"
If one should ever catch him without his armor, they would find a living skeleton, glowing brightly with golden magic crackling like fire and lightning in its orifices and joints.

ABILITIES
- Reiatsu Ronin: Given that Benkei’s body is already heavily comprised of reiatsu, Benkei can utilize its magic to great effect. His preferred elements are fire, lightning, earth, and wind, using them just as much for flashy effect as he does for effectiveness in combat. His preferred methods for each element are utilizing fire and lightning for direct projectiles and explosions while utilizing earth to destabilize opponents with massive earthquakes, and wind for achieving great speeds as well as pushing enemies back.
- Unique Body: The mechanics of Benkei’s body make him an odd opponent to fight. He has no vital organs to take advantage of when attacked, and he can even be decapitated without being killed. In fact, his dismembered limbs and head can act of their own accord using limited telekinesis associated with bones. Furthermore, Benkei can attach the skeletal limbs of other creatures to himself, granting him extra methods of attack, including extra arms, extra necks/heads, etc.
- Armor Extension: When Benkei grafts limbs onto himself, the armor extends to incorporate these limbs. In addition, as some of Benkei's attacks involve losing limbs, the armor can regenerate to compensate. However, direct damage to the armor does not regenerate.
- “I Have Just the Weapon for That:” Benkei’s wide assortment of weapons means that barring some exotic choices, he always has a weapon on hand for the sort of opponent he fights. This can include axes, hammers, katanas, rapiers, spears, javelins - any martial or simple weapon.
- Immortal Hero (not really): Beyond his unique body structure, Benkei simply refuses to accept that he is dead. This denialism grants him a tenacity that can only be stopped by incapacitating rather than killing him via normal lethal wounds. Short of his entire body being disintegrated, Benkei simply WILL not die, and therefore CANNOT die so long as his head is intact - which can simply fly away. It should, however, be noted, that he is still vulnerable to incapacitation via expending too much reiatsu, which makes his body go dormant for a moment - which in turn, leaves him vulnerable to disintegration/obliteration, which DOES kill him.
- 'It's TRI'AKUN TIME, HENSHIN!": Even in undeath, Benkei has retained his ability to morph. Drawing in all the corpses within a fairly large distance, Benkei's back grows large gurtha-esque wings, and he gets his full amount of six arms immediately, while his face bursts out of his helmet, appearing more like that of a gurtha dragon, eyes bleeding reiatsu. In this form, Benkei receives a significant boost to speed and magical abilities - his weapons shift to ones more geared towards flight-based combat, such as javelins and giant shurikens. Overall, his Tri'akun expands his movement capabilities and ranged combat repetoire, rather than focusing on raw destructive capabilities.
WEAKNESSES
- Undead: While he is not a dark-aligned undead, Benkei has a natural weakness to light reiatsu and healing using the aforementioned reiatsu, as they weaken the energy he uses to keep himself together. In addition, Benkei is weak to any undead-targeted attacks, such as forceful exorcisms, turning spells, etc.
- Subtlety spelled with Explosions: While Benkei can be stealthy in his approach and work on assassination missions, combat for Benkei is anything but a subtle affair. He yells poetic phrases as attack names, screams as he strikes at people, and tends to utilize very unorthodox methods of attacking, such as grabbing dismembered limbs and beating enemies with them. His entry often involves the loudest, most obnoxious method possible.
BACKGROUND
In his life over 7000 years ago, this War Kingdom demon was part of the Lord's Chosen, serving under General Tokugoro. Preferring to live by a strict warrior code tainted by his minor obsessive fetish for decapitating his marks, he was a N'Vaen War demon of honor, integrity, and...possibly a little craziness. However, none would doubt his skill and loyalty.
Standing on a bridge to protect the War kingdom, from invading Kingdom armies, the lone warrior cut down one brave and stupid soul after another, claiming their heads for his collection. One hundred various warriors fall like such...before they realize that melee combat is for chumps and morons, and impaled his sorry wannabe hero butt with arrows and javelins.
This forgotten warrior’s kill count numbered into the realm of several hundreds...is what the story would say, if the warrior actually would admit he was dead. Through what can only be described as the force of sheer will and zealous denialism, the warrior utilized necromancy in the strangest way ever recorded: He simply refused to die. Having been buried with his head collection, the warrior’s spirit found his skeletal corpse, and reoccupied the body...in the process, absorbing essence from every single head he was buried with. The process of re-entry drove him mad, leaving him scrambling for his name. Instead, he adopted a new one, his first words in his new unlife…
“I am...KAMEN RONIN BENKEI!”
From this point onward, Kamen Ronin Benkei would dispense justice to those he believed were committing great evils to who he believed to be innocent. Sadly, when one is a crazy undead coot missing his brainmeats in more than one way, one’s sense of judgment is questionable at absolute best.
He made his heads into a series of masks, which he would combine with his armor and faceplate for varying effects, utilizing his lack of identity as a source of strength. After all, if one is crazy, go at it full blast.
Now legends speak of a crimson armored warrior who appears by the light of the full moon, yelling pretentious sounding poetic gibberish, before leaping in and attacking one of the two sides in a conflict in a bloodbath of bone and steel.
