Blackfeather.
Vampire. Ghost-Ship Pirate. Motherfucking dashing rogue.
Gender: Male
Species: Vampire Macera Avian
Appearance: Waistcoat with tricorne hat and eyepatch. Yep, we're going full pirate. Large black feathered wings befitting of his name, while his skin is pale as death due to his advanced vampirism. He often wears his shirt open-chested to show off his dashing good looks, and isn't above flexing a little for the ladies.
Personality: Arrr matey! Blackfeather be one of the most feared pirates of the skies, pirating the Marauder, a skyship that only appears during the full moon at night. Sailing through the starlit sky, Blackfeather is after two things: Booty, and booteh. A womanizing charmer as well as an opportunist, he lives mostly for the pleasure of the hunt in both ways.
He loves a dramatic entrance. In spite of this, he is generally not one for a massacre, and prefers intimidating and restraining his victims before robbing them blind, as opposed to murdering entire shipfulls.
He does love a good jig and shanty, and is not above singing obnoxiously loud while drunk on rum - though, it is questionable if he actually gets drunk or is just that obnoxious by his nature. He has left this up to anyone's guess.
He fights using limited necromantic abilities coupled with a spear which he uses for dive-bombing attacks, as well as a short sword at his side in case he is forced into intimate melee.
Abilities:
Charisma: Blackfeather is quite the speaker with a silver tongue, and loves to capture the ears and hearts of those who give him a moment of their time. It is said he is able to sell a dwarf a cart of rocks, or convincing a gryphon that they cannot fly.
Spear-based Swashbuckling: Blackfeather's weapon of choice is a bladed spear, due to his wings. His favored spear, the Sharktooth Harpoon, has a serrated edge, ensuring death if it is pulled free from its target.
Magic: Blackfeather is decently skilled and combining spell and sword. His favorite tricks involve illusions which aid in making his ship look like the fabled ghost ship, as well as concealing himself and his crew for ambushes and escapes. In addition, he has some mastery over the weather, though he can only dispel and manifest light storms and weather phenomena - potentially moderate. Furthermore, his Sharktooth Harpoon is enchanted to attract some of his lightning spells for a shocking combination. Lastly, Blackfeather utilizes a spell to sharpen his feathers to act as throwing knife projectiles.
Cloak of Feathers: Blackfeather is extremely agile, and hard to hit due to his various mobility options and penchant for trickery-based shenanigans.
Weaknesses:
Typical vampire weaknesses: sun and fire are a bane to Blackfeather, though as a Blooded bordering on Elder, it is not an instant kill.
Fragile: Being an avian, Blackfeather does not take hits well - solid blows from a strong creature can cripple him quickly. Not to mention that his wings are extremely vulnerable to attack.
History:
Once a semi-renowned adventurer roaming the skies, Captain Blackfeather was not a name to be taken lightly. Having dreamed of managing his own skyship crew ever since he was a hatchling, he earned his wings, so to speak, at the age of 20, and quickly rose in ranks and grew into a fine captain by the age of 30 - running his own mercenary guild aboard his flagship, the SS Fortune.
Drowning in riches and a hit at the pubs with the ladies, the raven-haired and plumed Blackfeather seemed to have it all.
However, upon one eventful adventure, Blackfeather was bitten. Stubbornly choosing to continue pursuing his bounty, he failed to tend to the wound in time, and thus succumbed to the virus, though was able to kill the vampire before being turned into nosferatu.
His crew and guild were supportive of him, and one suggested a damned crazy idea...
Nowadays, only whispers of Blackfeather's existence remain. They speak of a ghost ship, led by Blackfeather's pale ghost. It is rumored that he kidnaps lovely young ladies and intimidates ships into handing over their loot, lest they join Blackfeather's skeleton crew.
