APPEARANCE
A tall, slender, and lithe Famine-kingdom noble demon. Rafaloth often clads himself in a heavy, dusty, dirt-brown cloak as he wanders the realms on foot. He covers his head with thick, bandage-like wrappings to conceal everything except his red eyes - which includes the 3” Famine horns that would betray him as a demon.
When seen without his cloak, his mane is long and silvery-white - his skin being deathly pale with but a hint of a lively fleshy pink hue. He is often seen with an ornate walking stick, though he is perfectly capable of movement without one.

ABILITIES
- Hidden Weapon: Rafaloth's walking stick hides a short blade which he uses to defend himself at melee range. While he is no slouch with this weapon, it is hardly his go-to means of offense or defense. However, due to his status as a noble-blooded N'Vaen, he is able to hold his own against all but the most experienced of swordsmen.
- Magic: Favoring darkness and ice though having access to a wide variety of elements, Rafaloth commands great magic at his fingertips. His favored spells are ones that encase enemies in ice or take advantage of an individual’s past wrong-doing. In addition, he utilizes mist and darkness to quickly disappear for hasty escapes. A secondary element he utilizes is Fire, although he normally refrains from using this unless violence is inevitable.
- Ascetic: Being a famine demon, Rafaloth is used to going without luxuries. This has given him heightened senses as well as surprising endurance for one with such a seemingly frail frame. When others are dying of starvation, Rafaloth is still at nearly full strength.
- Tri'Akun: Rafaloth's Tri'Akun takes the form of a monstrously sized flying hellcat. Ablaze with silently burning shadowy fire, Rafaloth's Tri'Akun makes him lose his usage of ice magic, focusing on darkness, lightning, and fire - often letting loose a torrent of reiatsu projectiles from above. In this mode, Rafaloth loses his ability to reason, and therefore he cannot consider complicated questions, such as his Vow of Honor.
WEAKNESSES
- Unmotivated: While not lazy, Rafaloth lacks any goals, dreams, hopes, or agendas. He simply exists without purpose. Therefore, he is reluctant to be drafted in any conflict that he cannot solve using his own strength quickly.
- Stigma: Both Halgians and Demons would want his head on a pike. Rafaloth must therefore be ever vigilant of such individuals.
- Vow of Poverty: Rafaloth does not engage in most unnecessary luxuries. This can be a double-edged sword, as this means he has little of physical substance to share with others, nor does he have any super powerful equipment of note. Paired with ascetic.
- Vow of Honor: Rafaloth rarely finishes off his opponents nor does he enjoy deceitful trickery if he can avoid it, though he has no qualms about violence itself if he deems it necessary. While he will break this vow if it’s clear they have no intention of leaving him alone, this can easily leave him open to under-handed tactics.
BACKGROUND
Rafaloth is a demon from the Famine kingdom - a N’Vaen of noble blood, previously belonging to the Order of Hikari. He was an odd demon that practiced honor as a form of pride. He was known for allowing for enemy demons to retreat if he was sure they were defeated, seeing it as a show of strength. This odd outlook is caused by having been shown mercy by another noble demon - it is unclear of the identity or the eventual fate of this demon.
He is infamous for letting go of an opposing army after having devastated their forces. He was heard to have said: "What honor is there in destroying those that have stopped fighting? There is no pride to be found in overkill. Such waste is petty and childish."
Unfortunately, this philosophy was not popular among his peers, and it was believed it led to unneeded hardship. Eventually, on a trek through Evylon, he was the target of a mutiny by those under his command, being seen as too weak to lead properly.
A Halgian-avian came across his battered body, and healed him. Upon realizing he was a demon, she insisted on bringing him into custody to the nearest Halgian settlement. However, over the course of their journey, they spoke of many things - particularly the idea that neither of them were exactly of the normal mindset.
Upon reaching the outskirts of the settlement, the Halgian-avian let Rafaloth go. Thanking her, and seeing himself as indebted to her, he conjured a Kuraian naginata and engraved a phrase as to maintain the spark of compassion that had saved him.
Traveling the lands and avoiding both Kuraian and Halgian sorts, the demon often performs small favors for access to tomes of knowledge.
Often refusing to get involved in the politics or conflicts of a region, the eccentric demon often appears when there are troubled souls, having sensed their pain via a sixth sense he has adopted. He often stays briefly, offering advice where he can and simply an ear where there is only pain. On rare occasion, he utilizes his demonically destructive elemental magic to defend the innocent.

RELATIONSHIPS
- Zelda is, as of current, a curious thing to Rafaloth. Her vow of pacifism in spite of self-endangerment has intrigued him. And perhaps there are other things about her that fascinate him as well.
- Iagan is a loyal friend which has joined him on the trio's pilgrimage to meet the Ten. Rafaloth is not a fan of his diet, which Iagan insists on sharing due to a shared prank gone horribly wrong.
- Kari's open mind has earned Rafaloth's respect. He considers her to be a sign of a bright future.
