Name: Icarath
Gender: Male
Species: Demon - N'Vaen class
APPEARANCE
A scorpion-Zirus-like N’vaen, Icarath has four-fully formed limbs with humanoid hands made of thick exoskeleton plates - these limbs are often busied with runes, scrolls, and other ‘research.’ His top pair of arms, separate from the more humanoid limbs, are a pair of oversized scorpion-esque claws - both capable of grasping certain equipment and crushing an enemy in half. His legs are hefty-trunk like constructs in order to support and steady his exoskeleton plating’s weight. Behind him sways a dangerous, oversized, prehensile scorpion tail, glistening with venom at the stinger. His face consists of several eyes spread out as to give him great peripheral vision, which selective close to focus on what he needs to or work independently as to multitask, accompanied by a pair of giant scorpion fangs.
His choice of attire is often that of a loose, violet, hooded robe, to hide the beastly scorpion-like body. It is trimmed in order to give his tail freedom to grasp and move as well as sleeves that are buttoned around his limbs by attendents.

ABILITIES
- Ito'niza: When engaging his Ito'niza, Icarath's helmet grows a skull-themed plating with a visor-like slit – his glowing eyes seeming to form a glowing red line across it. A singular horn protrudes from his forehead like a unicorn. His plating thickens and gains a grim, gray coloration, and its hardness rivals that of rare metal plating. In this form, Icarath
- Despair Venom: a strong neurotoxin flows from Icarath’s fangs and tail stinger. A full second injection’s worth entering a humanoid victim guarantees that their connection to reiatsu is disrupted as well as select functions of their brain and nervous system. Essentially inhibiting the ability to feel emotions or pain and sense things or have thoughts of their own, they essentially become shells of themselves, slaves to instructions given. This effect can be staved off by willpower, but it takes a great amount of both constitution and willpower to overcome the effects unless the poison is treated - which is in of itself a daunting feat.
- Darkness Element Magic: Being a powerful N’vaen, Icarath has power over darkness - particularly the ability to corrupt, twist, and poison things. This manipulation is more potent when a target has been touched with his poison. Often, his magic tends to be used to support his arsenal of tricks by hiding details through manipulation of shadow, or the ability to slip away without a trace. It is unknown if this is the limit of his power or if he simply has never needed to use raw brute force spells to eliminate his opponents.
- Necromancy: Icarath holds sway over the undead, and can raise them to fight again, although he can only raise up so many at a time utilizing only his own power - certain rituals can make the effects more permanent.
- Summon Abomination: Icarath can summon some of his experiments on command. Often, these creatures are somewhere around a lower-end S’elath in terms of strength - their biggest benefit is that they are expendable, although it makes Icarath grumpy when he has to replace them for any reason. They often are misshapen humanoids whose face gives the impression that they cry out for release from their corrupted mortal shell.
- Tri'Akun: Icarath loses all semblance of humanity - the humanoid arms transform into various insectoid instruments, including mantis scythes, stingers, claws (changes every time he assumes this form - random assortment - specified upon transformation). His lower torso grows another set of limbs - making him more like a centaur, except with the torso positioned in the center between all four legs. His tail elongates and gains spines glistening with the same venom. In addition, his mass increases, as does the hardening of his plates - the form sacrifices all ability to utilize tools as well as his ability to focus on tinkering, as his mind degenerates to a more "kill or be killed" state
- Royal Tri'Akun: Icarath's royal Tri'Akun returns him to a more humanoid state, but his bulky plate is reduced significantly, restructuring itself to be extremely compact - whispered to be hard as diamond.
WEAKNESSES
- Hyperfocused: Arguably a strength as well, Icarath can easily be caught off-guard if he is focused on his research. While his multitude of eyes off-set this weakness, it is not a perfect fix, as they, too, are often preoccupied with his multitasking.
- Lack of Etiquette: Not a prime choice for infiltration, Icarath cares nothing for etiquette or manners. The most he will show in this regard is his subservience to those in charge, and reverence for Lethias herself
BACKGROUND
Icarath was born into Silus clan nobility, part of the Death Faction - the clan that deals mostly with innovation for Death's military machine. A prodigy in terms of engineering and innovation for Death, he acts as an aloof loner and can be cunning in all things. His hobby - tinkering with the bones of human cattle - led him to ponder - if food was plentiful enough, could he turn the then-excess surplus of human cattle into weapons? Better yet, could he enhance the abilities of demons with the same experiments?
His ravenous hunger for knowledge has pushed him past several limits of what would normally limit inventions - sometimes the extents he will go to get the results he wishes disgust his fellow demons. To those, he answers with a simple single-word response: “Progress.”
His speech mannerisms encompass all that he is - he is straightforward, blunt, and only cares about what he thinks is important at the given moment. If one did not know him better, it would seem that his vocabulary is very limited, 90% of his words consisting of the following: “Efficient.” “Disappointing.” “Insignificant results.” He can communicate his results, but those who must discuss matters may find him infuriatingly clinical, especially when he is reporting the fruits of his labor.
He often cares little about how others perceive him. All of his efforts are dedicated to seeing the heights he can take Death's military might. It is for this reason his form is a monstrous zirus - functionality over appearance.
Now, with the vacant throne, Icarath has risen to leadership. With this, his speech has had to become more eloquent - but those close to him know that this is but a façade for the truth that Icarath represent.
Death is the only truth. Life is but a pleasant dream.
Glory to Lethias and her truth of eternal peace.
